Textile Designer (Full Time)

Overview

We are seeking a highly creative individual to join our fashion design team as a Textile Designer. This role requires a candidate who has a solid understanding for both textile design techniques and graphic design principles.

Responsibilities

Textile Design:

1. – Develop unique and original textile designs, including prints, patterns, and motifs, based on fashion trends and brand aesthetics.
2. – Create textile design concepts through hand sketching, digital rendering.
3. – Collaborate with the fashion design team to ensure the textile designs align with the overall collection vision and target market.
4. – Conduct research on emerging textile design trends, materials, and techniques, and incorporate them into the design process.
5. – Prepare technical specifications and production guidelines for the manufacturing of textile designs

Trend Analysis and Presentation:

1. – Stay up to date with fashion trends, colour palettes, and graphic design techniques to inform the design process.
2. – Conduct trend research, including attending trade shows, analysing competitor designs, and monitoring industry publications.
3. – Prepare trend boards and presentations to communicate design concepts and influences to the creative team and stakeholders.

Qualification:

1. – Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator)
2. – Strong artistic and conceptual skills with an ability to translate ideas into visually appealing designs.
3. – Excellent understanding of fashion trends, colour theory, and design principles.
4. – Strong attention to detail and the ability to work  in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
5. – Effective communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
